Swatch celebrates its opening at Berlin Brandenburg new Airport… nine years late!
In the past nine years, many jokes were made about the non-opening of Berlin Brandenburg Airport (BER) which opening has been continuously postponed since 2011 due to various important failures.
Swatch has summarized this in its usual positive and provocative way. The Brand has decided to open its store identically to a concept from nine years ago. Back to 2011: The entire interior of the boutique is a step back in time. The furniture, part of the product offer and the visual merchandising have been recreated by the Brand in the same way as nine years ago. During his visit, the client takes a little trip back in time.
Another wink from Swatch: a limited edition watch specially designed to immortalize the BER special. The DELAYED watch is the first and probably only Swatch watch to show a nine-year delay. The DELAYED model is available in the new Swatch Store at Berlin Brandenburg Airport, which, incidentally, also waited nine years for its opening.
